Chicco Red Bullet Balance Training Bike Review
Learning to ride a bicycle is never easy. It is difficult to learn how to balance, pedal, steer, and brake. That is why some people have turned to using a balance bike as a child’s first bicycle. The Chicco Red Bullet is a balance bike that is guaranteed to make your young child feel like a big kid and looks great enough for them to want to ride on it. To learn more about it, you should take a look at our Chicco Red Bullet balance bike review. It could be the key to helping your child prepare for pedals.
Features of the Chicco Red Bullet
It features soft tires to ensure that they can push it along easily regardless of what terrain they are riding on. It can be used in grass and dirt or your child can use it riding on a sidewalk in your neighborhood. The tires are also puncture resistant so that you do not have to worry about a flat causing trouble for your child.
The Red Bullet is designed for children who are 3-years and up. A taller child may be able to enjoy riding it earlier as long as their feet can easily reach the ground. Children can ride on it safely until they are 55 pounds.
The seat is padded so that your child feels comfortable sitting on it. It is a saddle seat design, which resembles “big kid” bikes and will make it easy for them when it comes time to transition to a pedal bike. The handlebar grips are also cushioned for comfort.
The bicycle measures 22 x 18.1 x 26.8 inches. It is ultra-lightweight at only 6 pounds. This makes it easy to handle by young children and ensures that if the bicycle tips over, they can pick it up without help.
Chicco Red Bullet Buyers’ Feedback
Many people purchase this bicycle for their child at around three years old as recommended. If you have a taller child, some parents say that they will get less usable time with it. However, other parents purchase it for their preschool and school aged children and say that it still fits them comfortably. This is because it has such a wide adjustment area within the seat. All parents and most of the children like the beautiful red color of the Red Bullet, but there are some parents who say that the paint may chip when you are trying to attach the handlebar. Otherwise, there are no complaints about the paint being an issue as with some of the other available balance bikes.
In general, the 4.6-star rating proves that most people who purchased this bike are happy that they did. Many say that their child began riding it immediately after opening it up and having it assembled. The most common complaint is the tires. Many say that they are more similar to hard plastic rather than rubber. This is disappointing, according to many. In general, most parents say that it is a great bike to have, even if their child does not take to it immediately.
Our Opinion of the Red Bullet by Chicco
We agree that most all of the owner reviews are positive and for that reason, we feel that it is worth considering for most children. Our biggest concern would be the size of the bike. Due to the fact that there are quite a few parents who say that there isn’t enough adjustability for taller children, we feel that it may not be perfect for every child. On a more positive note, we can also say that if you know your child has a 13-inch inseam, you should be able to purchase with confidence and get quite a bit of use out of it. The quality of the bike is definitely there. It has a durable frame and tires that are good over all terrains, but because of it being a balance bike, your child may not be able to coast easily in rocky areas. It is a bicycle that will hold up against rough and rowdy preschoolers well enough that you can pass it down when they outgrow it. In short, we feel that if you want a bicycle for your child that will teach them how to balance on two wheels, this balance bike is going to be a bike worth considering.
